Line of the Day: May 2nd, 2011

1B Paul Konerko of the Chicago White Sox went 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI in a 6-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. It marked his second multi-homer game of the season and the 29th of his career.

Line: 3 AB, 2 R, 2 H, 4 RBI; 2 HR, SF

My fantasy perspective: Konerko is now hitting .304 with eight home runs and 24 RBI and proving that his 2010 numbers weren't a fluke. At his current pace, he'd finish 2011 with 43 homers and 130 RBI, so a .300/30/100 seems very realistic. Fantasy owners seem to doubt Konerko is an upper-tier option at first base and all he does is continue to produce like one. Wasn't Adam Dunn (.165/3/12) supposed to be the one hitting close to 40 home runs this season?
