Line of the Day: June 5th, 2011

1B Adam Lind of the Toronto Blue Jays went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI to lead the Jays to a 7-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles. It was the second time this season and sixth time in his career Lind has had a multi-homer game.

Line: 4AB, 2 R, 4 H, 3 RBI; 2 HR

My fantasy perspective: Lind seems to have picked up right where he left off before being forced to the DL with lower back strain for nearly a month. Over his last 19 games played, he's hitting .405 (30/74) with eight home runs, 21 RBI, 14 runs scored and a 1.189 OPS. He's raised his average from a season-low .230 to his current high of .326 during this streak.

Lind continues to be a force to be reckoned with and should provide Jose Bautista more protection from being pitched around. Imagine how much more potent this Toronto lineup would be if Aaron Hill and Travis Snider could live up to their potential.

  1. Agreed. I predicted Lind would have a bounce back season. It looks like 2010 will be his outlier.
