Line of the Day: July 14th, 2011

Ryan Spilborghs went 4-for-6 with a home run and four RBI filling in for for the injured Carlos Gonzalez as the Colorado Rockies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 12-3. The four hits tied his career high for hits in a game.

Line: 6 AB | 3 R | 4 H | 4 RBI; 2B | HR | SB

My fantasy perspective: Spilborghs has been no more than a spot starter and pinch hitter this season, accumulating just 158 at-bats in 76 games. He's never had more than 352 at-bats in a season, either. Unowned in virtually all league formats, one can't help but wonder what kind of numbers he could put up given a change to play regularly and accumulate 600+ at-bats.

Here's hoping a game like this caught the attention of another MLB team looking for a scrappy outfielder and Spilborghs finds himself in the mix come the Trade Deadline.
