Line of the Day: June 30th, 2011

CC Sabathia tied a career high by striking out 13 and pitched the New York Yankees to a 5-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Each one of the 13 strikeouts came on a swinging third strike.

Line: 7.2 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 13 K; W, QS

My fantasy perspective: Sabathia raised his record to 11-4 with a 3.05 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP and is on pace to make another run at 20+ wins, 200+ strikeouts and a strong appearance in the AL Cy Young voting. He's tied for most wins in the majors with 11 yet ranked just 12th overall among all fantasy starting pitchers. He'll continue to provide fantasy owners with the numbers they expected out of their 2nd/3rd round fantasy ace.
